Monitoring fuel consumption

Given the financial implications, fuel management is a key target in the management of organizations in an attempt to control fleet costs. The effect of implementing the monitoring solutions of fuel consumption depends on the technology used and the calculation procedure chosen. Currently there is no method or technology to ensure 100% accurate level control or reading fuel consumption so that theft or waste can be completely eliminated. In other words, the expectations of those who assume that a relevant briefing in every second is possible are unrealistic.

iTrack offers several solutions for the determination and measurement of fuel consumption:

* Choosing a solution for measuring fuel consumption is monitored depending on the vehicle`s capabilities. We recommend a review of the fleet before choosing the solution.

High accuracy determines alike costs, an alternative and less expensive solution for measuring is the fuel tank cap with RFID sensor:

  • allows identifying the exact time and place where the tank cap was opened
  • prevents theft by the impossibility of introducing crafted installations (hose, pump)
  • enables an alert for the driver in the instance when the tank is tampered

Consumption monitoring, along with other features of the application (monitoring trips – duration, route, parking, driving style, drivers, working hours, opening the tank cap) enables the combat of theft (using level probes, theft can even be documented), and important fuel savings.

iTrack offers many options that can optimize the consumption per car and for the entire fleet:

 Consumption Reports

By integrating data on the CAN bus you can know at any time about the instantaneous consumption, total or fuel level. This can generate reports that will help you decide which vehicles are most productive.

Efficient routes, lower consumption

Through the iTrack application tou can plan the most efficient routes, avoid crowded or in-construction roads or you can decrease traffic downtime. Your vehicles will travel shorter distances at constant speeds with visible effects of reducing consumption.

Control the consumption by roadholding

Speeding, low turations or rev, running with mismatched tires or difficult technical problems only detectable by observation can increase fuel consumption by a few liters per hundred kilometers. By monitoring the fleet you can completely eliminate these risks and can reduce consumption every day and on each route.

In addition to reducing consumption and wear, through the driving behavior management you ensure safety and traffic support.
